Mister Chill'R in Future Music!

Mister Chill'R's "Area 51" off of the album Alien Unfolding is featured in this month's Future Music Magazine! What a stellar review!
Like some kind of Leftfield/Groove Armada Dub experiment comes the mind-widening sound of Mister Chill'R - a student-and-teacher combination from the sun-kissed beaches of... Portland, Oregon. Ah.
Never ones to let circumstance get in the way of a good tune, the Chill'R set the tone with an attention-grabbing first few seconds, then serve up a rhythm track that's deceptively complex and absorbing. There's a fair volume of gear at work, but special mention goes to the Event Tria monitors used. "It's my experience (20 years now) that you simply cannot do music without a decent set of monitors and a properly tested and tuned room," says head Chill'R Roger Groendyke. Too true.
Highlights for us are that phased and chopped rhythm accompaniment and the drifting casual synth lines. In fact, such is the balance struck that we'd have been more than happy with a heavyweight Dub breakdown to expand its stingy 3:45 playtime. Ripe for a remix, this one. Be sure to send us the results.
